How can I find out if my dermatologist is really a licensed doctor?

It's in FL if it helps.. I went to myfloridalicense.com where someone told me to go, but I couldn't find where to go from there...

Any help would be appreciated.. my appointment time is in an hour and a half..so I'm hoping to get some help soon :-/How can I find out if my dermatologist is really a licensed doctor?
From my YAHOO! search, I found the site below:

(and it only took me 30 seconds - and I don't live in Florida)

P.S. - at your appointment, ask your doctor if s/he is board certified and if not, if s/he is board eligible. If either question is ';yes,'; you should be fine. If not - not being board certified is not a death sentence... they may still be quite good at what they do. Also, if they are not licensed, your insurance will not cover it. So, you should not have been OK'd by your insurance to see that particular doctor if that would be the case. NOTE!! Licensed and board certified are two VERY different things. And a doc that is under discipline or supervision can still be licensed to practice (maybe). How can I find out if my dermatologist is really a licensed doctor?
Do a google search for Florida Board of Medical Examiners or Florida MD Lic.

Most states have a free online website that will allow you to check their schooling, certification, and any problems.
you can probably ask for the certification at his/her office.
Most doctors have their Degree on display in their office. If you don't see it, or his licence, ask for it. If he is offended by it, maybe you should find another Dr.
ask because i have a dermatoligist too and if they have a necklace that has a card with their picture and name on it that probably means he/she are a licensed doctor.
