$600.00 plusRoughly how much would it cost to go to the dermatologist to have a few moles looked at and maybe removed?
Most general practice Gp's can deal with moles without the intervention of a dermatologist. Using Dry Ice or one of the newer lines available from the chemist ( chemical freeze ( $40) can deal with sevral moles at one time.
Only the cost of the initial consult and the follow up for treatment and the ';Ice: will be needed to pay for so work out 3 visit costs and the $40 and you will be on average
maybe around $40-50 @ least i think so
you can ask friends or family if they know of a good dermatologist and ask them if he would take a payment plan, or he can borrow money, and return the money according to terms agreed by both parties. I'm sure it would be a reasonable sum.
I would say it's gonna be about $100.00 for the office visit, and another $150.00 for the mole removal.
No idea at all he can be seen by a regular Dr i had one cut out of my back when i was 10 by my family DR..
Probably about $80 for the visit, and $50-80 per mole. BTW--My suggestion is to ask! My wife had an issue and we had no insurance, so i urged her to call, explain we had no insurance, and then ask about prices. They told her all prices.
Side note-In the USA, medicine is still a ';for-profit'; business. Therefore, if you are in the US you can shop prices around. Id call and ask how much an appointment costs, find the least expensive one; go to the appointment to have the moles checked (you need to do that whether he has them removed or not to make sure they arent dangerous to his health); then ASk the doctor how much his clinic charges for removal. They must tell you. then you can budget for the removal. They should be able to tell you how much the whole thing costs on your 1st phone call, but Id go in for a check up 1st.--And you dont need a dermatologist to have moles checked and removed. A GP can do that for you, and are easier to get appointments with, and cheaper.
Hope that helps!
( BTW, sorry if you are not in US--i assume since we in the USA are the only western nation without nationalized healthcare-and you mentioned you didnt have coverage, that you are in America)
