Is it best to get a chemical peel by an esthetician or by a dermatologist?

=)

thank you!Is it best to get a chemical peel by an esthetician or by a dermatologist?
Definitely a doctor.

Many people, because of the condition of the skin, ethnicity, skin thickness, etc., may end up with scarring or discoloration. Dermatologists should be able to provide the indepth counseling and diagnostic pre-procedure research needed.

Many estheticians are very good at giving massages or facials but much of what they tout is junk science. For instance, the scientific sounding names of ingredients that supposedly go into the cellular are a bunch of hokey!!!! There is no way to get cosmetic grade lotions, potions, etc., into the cellular level. Is it best to get a chemical peel by an esthetician or by a dermatologist?
I would have to say a dermatologist. First being her deals with the skin, he can determine if it is needed and safe to do. When it comes to the skin %26amp; especially the face, well you only have one face and for me I would only trust a doctor with certification %26amp; good credentials. Tale Care!!
dermatologist... btu honestly all those procedures are a wast of $$$ they dnt do a thing!
I would say go to a dermatologist because they have meds there in case they damage your skin.
It depends on the type of peel.

For glycolic acid peels you can go to an esthetician. For TCA peels, you should go to a dermatologist.
