Is it ok to apply neosporin to flat warts that were just recently frozen by the dermatologist?

I wouldnt , the freeze kills the root and need air to heal the pat of the skin that was damaged. I know for the first few days the area is tender , but I would not completely slather it up ... let it get air so it can dry out... you may even need a second freeze in 30 days if the whole root didnt die.Is it ok to apply neosporin to flat warts that were just recently frozen by the dermatologist?
I don't think so. The idea is that the wart is ';killed'; by the freezing, so that the dead skin layers will come off. Neosporin would help the skin ';heal'; itself and the whole freezing procedure would be a waste of time.

Usually the doctor recommends keeping the wart covered and also removing dead skin with an emery board (make sure you always throw away the board when you are done; it will spread the wart germs if you use it over and over) about a week or so after the treatment. This process is continued...covering, removing, covering, removing, until all the layers are gone.

Also, research has shown that duct tape over a wart works just as well as freezing. The idea is to keep the air supply from the wart, and to keep applying an irritant every other day, and keeping bandages on it. Obviously, showering will wet the bandages and then the moisture doesn't help. So change every other day.

This treatment has worked for me on a wart on my finger--I used the Scholl's wart remover dots with the concealer bandage. In about four weeks the wart was ';cured'; by my body fighting the virus.

Other recommendations are to keep applying apple cider vinegar (acidic) every day with a cotton ball. If it's on the foot, soak the foot in as hot of water as you can stand, then refreshing the water after about 45 minutes. Again, keep those warts covered ! Your body will fight the virus.

I also keep the carpets vacuumed so that the dead skin, which contains the virus, isn't picked up again.
