Do i go to a doctors first or go straight to a dermatologist?

i need a dermatologist. i go to a walk in clinic. do i need to make an apointment with my doctor so they can find me a dermatologist, or do i go sraight to the dermatologist?Do i go to a doctors first or go straight to a dermatologist?
Most insurances will on pay for a doctor and then the doctor has to recommend a dermatologist. If you do not have insurance go straight to the dermatologist, it will save you the cost of a doctor visit.Do i go to a doctors first or go straight to a dermatologist?
A dermatologist is a specialist doctor, so it depends on whether or not your insurance requires an Rx to see a specialist first to pay for it. Some insurances do, and others do not.
depending on the issue if you think that it looks bad then go straight to the dermatologist.BUT first i would look it up on the internet then if you make a diagnosis and it says the condition isn't that bad go to the doctor see if he thinks it's bad BUT go immediately after making your diagnosis!!!!!

Hope this helps honey.
if you have insurance, go to the doctor first! Unless you're really rich, then I'm betting you have insurance
dermatologist is a special doctor of the skin,go to him first if the prolem is above him he will refer you to see your doctor for more serious problems.
