I want to be a dermatologist, what schools should i go to?

I was looking at previous questions on people also wanting to be a dermatologist and asking what plan of course they should follow, basically people just suggested bio, chem, and premed classes.

So far i have finished all my Bio and Chem classes now i am at the point where i am supposed to go to for a school that majors in Dermatology. Do i just go to med school and specialize in that subject?

Also does anyone know any good schools within Southern California that has good teachings in Dermatology?

*Would like to hear from people who are also wanting to be a Derm also...

Thanks.I want to be a dermatologist, what schools should i go to?
As you know, you finish college and then go to med school. That will get you an M.D., but med schools do not teach you any one specialty, they teach you the fundamentals of all of medicine. After med school you do an internship at a teaching hospital where you will specialize in dermatology.

To be honest, it's way to soon for you to be thinking about where that might be. First things first. Finish college with great grades in relevant subjects; take the MCAT exam and really nail it; apply to and get in med school; finish that (which is at least three years) and have your MD; THEN think about interning.
